A Page a Day

February's here
With darkened days and counting down
Hiding in a secret sack
Never getting these days back

The second week is gone
All my debts in front of me
Grinning like a sickly aunt
Who wants to kiss but I just can't

I waste another one
Getting rid of body hair
Drinking only grapefruit juice
I don't get out so what's the use

Four weeks of my life
Twenty eight pages bare
Four weeks of my life
Twenty eight pages bare

I could have made a change
I could have hitched or found a job
Or wrote a book or wrote a song
Or met someone who turned me on
Or stole a car or made a noose
Or cut my hair or stowed away

The month has gone and here I lay
