Kite

This feeling
I've felt it before
The stomach drop, head flop
The questions flowing in and out of my brain
Thinking damn what a shame
Trying to tame my emotions
I want to sleep
But... I have a little story to tell
Coming home to a dark house with the same old smell
Everyone fast asleep
I turn on my flashlight I'm trying to see
But I couldn't comprehend the sight before me. When the clock struck 1,2,3
The mind fog of mystery cleared up and I could see
Mother in one room and Father in the other
Mother next to brother and Father next to other
I wasn't sure what to think
All I knew to do was to come here
Have a seat full of fear
And type this
I don't know where this will go
Who I will show
But I know
When the time is right
This list of words will soar like a kite
But for now this must stay hidden
Emotions, feelings are dangerous... a weakness if you will
They're the difference between a man who can kiss or kill
However if it weren't for those wretched feels
I'd be as good as a wagon without wheels
So instead I shall stand as high as a woman on heels Smile
With a great
Wild delight
Man up
And
Well
Soar like a kite
