Sue & Sonny

By Jimmer Podrasky / Terry Wilson

Out on the streets
is my long lost buddy.
Broken for love
without-a-doubt.
He gave his new wife
all his money.
When added up
it was a small amount.
It was a small amount.

Her name was Sue
and his was Sonny.
And like the song,
they called her
Runaround.
He would cringe
when she called him
Honey
'cause there was nothing
sweet about it.

And he'd say-
Sue, so
your god has lost control.
And he'd say-
Oh no
I guess
that's the way
things go.

Sonny got fat
while Sue got lonely,
not long after
the honeymoon.
Blame it
on the brand new TV,
the cost of love,
and the price of food.

And he'd say-
Oh no
I guess
that's the way
things go.
Today is going
to be just like tomorrow.

Sonny was lost
so he sent his head to
the other side
of his living room.
Some would say
that he died for love.
Most would say
that he died to soon.
Blame it on the price of food.
