Lndfl

Nobody ever thought much of the fat kid in 5th grade
'Cause he told the jokes in hopes to cover up his pain
All he ever wanted was to fit in with the crowd
Though he never did, the crowd would become a familiar sound

He couldn't see all that he'd become
And in times of weakness, strength would come
He planted seeds, but watered weeds
It only left him thirsty, but I am all I need to succeed

I was searching in a landfill for authenticity
Oh-oh-oh, ay-ay-ay
I was smelling plastic roses, expecting something sweet

Nobody ever thought much of the sad boy writing songs
'Cause it takes the trophies and green paper till they tag along
When he had no voice, nobody even knew his name
But in five years time, they'll all claim that fat kid in 5th grade

I was searching in a landfill for authenticity
Oh-oh-oh, ooh-ooh-ooh
I was smelling plastic roses, expecting something sweet

But sometimes searching in a landfill is exactly what you need
