At the Pit

Billy Long was 20 and still in his senior year
The upside being he could always purchase beer
Anytime he found him himself short on cash
Or needed some funds to replenish his staff
He'd head out to the parking lot ignoring his last class
To state beer store to prepare for his next bash

At the Pit, At the Pit
Not much to look at I admit
At the Pit, At the Pit
But for tonight now this is it
At the Pit

Past the hockey courts deep in Belmont Hills
There lies a specials place where you can go to get your thrills
Nothing fancy just a pot in the woods
But it filled a social void like nothing else would
What else was there to do on a main Line Friday night
For just five bucks Billy would make everything all right

Mo Mo Turner and Kevin of Kane
Another night at Roy Rogers would really be so lame
But things will be looking up
When you fill that first solo cup

All it would take was a Busch Lite keg
Those spoiled rich kids oh he could make them beg
For something to do besides cruising Lancaster Ave
Another boring night would be such a drag
The cops would always bust the place by 10 p.m.
Better run through the woods or wind up in the pen
