Food For Thought

You never know what turn the day might take
He gained another angel, But was that by mistake
I just know it feels like you're gone way too soon
Rose in the concrete, barely got to bloom

It's so much deeper
Ain't that much sweeter
My levels lower, I need to re up
My heart is aching, lost many people
Took plenty brothers, they took our Riko
I'm like what is it? I just don't get it
Heard it was spiritual warfare
We're all up in it, no kidding
Things got bananas, I feel us splitting Dipping, there ain't no toppings
A battle unseen, you only feel it
I pray that you learn discernment
To know the difference
Because this life is much deeper than daily living
I tell you, your life is bigger than your existence
It took all all of our pieces to make the picture
I know my people been hurting
We're all conditioned
But still I- I got a job to do
My life's duty, commissioned
He gave me time, my objective is to fill my mission
Life is but a vapor thank em when I wake up
I been caught up in the dough while tryna get my cake up
I just wait up on his plan cause that's what's gonna Happen
I was devastated when they told me you ain't wake up
Is it selfish that I want to spend more time with you
When you was here, I ain't really spend much time with you
Made the assumption that time is our side, we young
Man it's crazy how in life what "time" will do
You never, really know
Life's unpredictable
So I
I gotta give em flowers while they're here
Tell em that you love em while they hear
Give me time and presence while they near
If you love em, gotta show em that it's clear
Cause you never know
You just never know

The world will never change if we don't change ourselves
The world greeds for money, power, things
I want a different kind of wealth
Cause none of this is gonna come with us when it's our time to go
I needed, self reflection for my growth

See it's a blessing to do self reflection
Learned that lessons will repeat until I learn the lesson
And all the flaws I pointed out was just a mirrored reflection
So instead I faced the mirror and faced my own reflection
There's some parts I didn't work on
I used my discretion
Couldn't give a testimony if I wasn't tested
Took my messy situation just to find the message
See there really ain't "mistakes" only learning lessons

I learned when my gut be talking that be really God
I learned that my heart ain't "hard" in fact it's really soft
I learned every choice I make one day the bill will come
I know that I have free will, but let his will be done
I leaned y'all niggas like rap about the same things
Ok we get it, can y'all switch it from the same themes
Looking, sounding all the same, I don't know who's who
Lost nigga's couldn't find they way with blues clues
See it's a blessing to do self reflection
Evaluating "self" can be your biggest blessing
If it's all about the growth then how you really growing
See it's easy to words, but what you really showing
They call that integrity
Empty word to a "sequence" that we'll never see
Gotta be intentional, in a world full of copies, stay original

I held the mirror to myself yeah
Had done things I had to take up off that shelf yeah
Had some things I had to put up on that shelf too
I learned that only you can help you
Only I'm responsible
Have a brain
And imma use it like a pot of gold
If it don't grow me in my life then it's just gotta go
The more you stack the more you fall
Just like it's dominoes
