The Chapstick Song

Raindrops they fall on my lips but don't keep me from moving forward
Rolling off chapstick as one by one, falling, they go
And though I'm still standing, lips parted, coated, and numb
I can't help but feel as though I am pretty dumb
Using chapstick when I could have waited for rain

But now at least temporarily I'm feeling slightly better
Chapped lips are gone and the healthy ones are here to stay
Chapstick has saved me from drought, even though I'm still out in the rain where the water's abundant
Thinking 'bout small things that never meant much at all
