Silhouette

You are the silhouette of this poem
As I caress my pen, it kisses the paper
And at the same time becomes a masterpiece

You are the true definition of a queen
But you don't know it yet
Because haven't found your tiara

The only thing you found so far
Were your insecurities
Worried more about your flaws Than your perfect imperfections

Never knew how to do the trust fall
Because you fell in love before
And when you needed someone on your side, they failed you

I tried to help you but I failed you too
Because I had to be that nigga
That nigga who idolized you more than my own idols

But at the same time hated you for pointing out your flaws because I would look past that

Sometimes can't sleep at night thinking of our flashbacks
Trying to simulate the what if's In my dreams
But reality wakes me up before my dreams find the solution

But I fail to realize, the best solution already happened
You happened

And though it lasted for a short time
My love for you is forever

As long as our good times outweigh the bad times then I'm content with our relationship

That's why you're the silhouette of this poem
