Meet Ren
Not a bad kid
In Fact He's good
Does pretty well in school
Though he lives in the hood
Stays across the way from a cat named Lee
No similarities
They're as different as can be
Lee's got a thing for getting what he want
But he just can't have it
See he gotta flaunt
What he got when he gets it
Cause he can
This is what make Lee look like the man
Ren on the other hand don't got much
Lives with his moms
Pops don't stay in touch
This is what gives him his will
His drive
This is what makes him want to do more than just survive
When Ren sees Lee
He ain't got much to say
Needless to say they like night and day
Lee saw this as a lack of respect
Decided it was time
To put Ren in Check
Did his best to humiliate Ren in class
Always got something to say
Whenever Ren walk pass
Since Lee got the crowd Ren Looks like a square
But Ren don't want to fight
Cause that really ain't his flair
Life don't seem fair but Ren Pushes on
Get's an after school job
To help out with his mom
Wonders to his-self why he work so hard
And Lee gets props just for being on the school yard
Ren gets to the point where he hates Lee's cool
To the point where he don't
Even wanna go to school
But he goes anyways cause that would hurt his mamma's heart
To see him give up on his dreams
And live life in the dark
So he endures the pain of the rain
Though it drives him insane
To be in the shadow of Lee's name
Two separate kids walking on the same earth
Living two separate lives
But tell me what's it worth

Lee's about to graduate and can't wait to walk
He can't stand ignorance
Or that ignorant talk
Lee's free
Making a living on the corner over here
Dropped out nominate street hustler of the year
Ren hates Lee
Cause he's a full blown thug
With a New Escalade he got from selling all his drugs
Lee hates Ren
From all them years back
Goes after any of his girls and tries to get them in the sack
When Ren sees Lee, fist close, teeth grind
Cause he knows what's going on
It never fails every time
But now it's his time to make
Lee look like a fool
Cause he just got accepted to a high profile school
While he was away he meets the woman of his dreams
Earns his degree just as happy as can be
Goes back to his hood
Lee still up to no good
Ren made a promise to his mamma to come back when he could
Ren is a doctor
Making doctor like cake
Lee can't sleep at night wide awake
Never thought about tomorrow
Only living for today
But today woke up with un-ordinary pain
Shooting up through his knees
Got him begging LORD PLEASE
Scared to have a doctor tell him he contracted a disease
Greedy eyes made a plot to take what Lee got
From the way things is looking
It's about to get hot
Lee ain't scared cause he lost it all before
Even went to jail and came back harder to the core
Lee ready for War
But he still got got
Ren was on the clock
When Lee came in shot
Lee said that he was sorry
As he laid there bleeding
Nurses took his mom out the room pleading & screaming
Out to God
Then everything else went black
Does Ren take his life or does he try to give it back?
