Nefelibata (Prelude to Light)

With our bodies tamed by the absence of mind
Our world remained complete and still
Time had bathed into ghostly night
Which danced eternal through frosted sill

Safely cased beneath a pseudo parapet
Free of broken lives, lies, and the shame that binds us
When empty souls sustain quintessence
Quiddity blames the mask which hides us

Fragments creased by iridescent lines
A lucid gaze; pure and bright
Ostensibly plenary in hope and solace
An angel's hold lends true sight

Waking eyes were soft and heavy
A shaped subtle glimpse; crimson and white
Pay no mind, our story's ending
Nefelibata; a prelude to light
