Perfume

Memorized all the smells of the city
Basil, moss on the wet stone floor
Human doing, human being
Be controlled by one strong pour

Get away from my surroundings
Find a place with all closed doors
If I could seal the walls around me
And hide the scents that I abhor

Perfume lifts me off the ground
It hides the smell of what's around
If God made us to look like him
It's odd that all we can do is sin

No one sees the clouds are bleeding
No one smells the tainted air
We all breathe the air I'm breathing
But no one seems to give a care

Perfume lifts me off the ground
It hides the smell of what's around
If God made us to look like him
It's odd that all we can do is sin

Perfume masks the pain I'm feeling
It dulls the pain of this worlds sick core
With this last bottle I'll stop the bleeding
Uncommonly proud of what's no more

Perfume lifts me off the ground
It hides the smell of what's around
If God made us to look like him
It's odd that all we can do is sin
