Lough Easkey Snowfall

In the cold and tender morning, as the snow starts to fall
To the Mountains of Dunneill, my souls starts to call
I take leave from my dwelling, with my boots and cap and all
To the lonesome ancient valley, and the Lough Easkey Snowfall

Through the pale light of the sun, appears the bright clear cover
Take the road that leads me back to, the fresh flowing water
The hills are at their rest for now, the waves lapping still
As the snowfalls on Easkey, on Dunneill and Masshill

Take a breath of the dawning, and a view of the dream
The cold January air, preserves the perfect scene
Soon I will be at my fire, with my stick upon the wall
With the sight in my minds eye, of the Lough Easkey Snowfall
