Noah's Ark
Long ago
There was so much crime
And the people were evil
All the time
God was sad
He'd had enough
It was time to start over
Time to get tough
There was only one man
And his family
Who listened to the voice of God
And served Him faithfully
God said I'm going to save you
You're going to build a boat
You'll make it big and wide enough
To take some special friends
And when the floods come
You will float
So they came
Two by two
The elephants
And the kangaroos
The gentle deer
And the wild tigers
They'd all get along
If they watched their manners
Noah and his family
All had done their part
As soon as all the animals
Were safely in the ark
God shut the door and opened up
The springs from land and sky
For forty days it rained
Until the mountains were beneath them
Then one fine day
It finally stopped
God sent a wind
To dry the land
In a few more months
The ark could stand
On the mountains of Ararat
It came to rest
Then the door swung open
This was the best!
Out they came with happy sounds
And cried so joyfully
God had kept them safe on board
And now that they were free
They made new homes throughout the land
And started families
God said I'll never flood the earth again
Just so you'll know
I'll remind you
With my rainbow
