Sonnet
On this worn road through the unknown, the night draws the light from our view
In the cold, all that we see glow is the glimmering face of the moon
The music that we compose with our lives miraculously synchronized
The ultimate symphony all of the time
Long before dawn the moon shines no more
Shadows descend on the woods
The salt on the wind, in the distance the ebb and the flood of the tide
The delicate feel of your breath as you whisper to say what was just at the back of my mind
On this worn road through the unknown, my life's a sonnet for you
In the cold, all that we see glow is the glimmering face of the moon
The music that we compose with our lives miraculously synchronized
The ultimate symphony all of the time
Long before dawn the moon shines no more
Shadows descend on the woods
The salt on the wind, in the distance the ebb and the flood of the tide
The delicate feel of your breath as you whisper to say what was just at the back of my mind
On this worn road through the unknown, my life's a sonnet for you
