Lots of people getting into controversy and that just hurts me
Can you please, just stop with the controversy?

Everybody a magnet to that controversy
Even though there's a risk that it may hurt the
Image and pride and maybe the ego inside
Gives some the drive, makes some commit suicide
We're all attracted to it like an addict
A lot of attention can make people manic
Especially when people wear it as a badge
That makes me mad, you're supposed to be embarrassed
Online commenters don't truly care
That all that negativity can make people aware
How else do you describe brand recognition?
I swear they do this stuff on purpose to get them to listen
All the brands and unknowns absolutely love it
When someone goes crazy and gives them lots of hits
It's a dog eat dog world, how else they gonna get the fame?
Hard work and effort, they're not gonna play that game

Now take it from me, I'm controversial
I'm not safe, I'm not even commercial
But I won't create controversy just to be famous
I did it once before and I'd rather be nameless
Those 15 seconds pass by like rather quick
So you better use that time to make your fame legit
You know what hurts more? being blacklisted
As an outcast, now you no longer exist and
The pain just builds up day by day
And nobody's believin' what you have to say
Job lost, friends lost, you'll have nowhere to go
And eventually you'll kill yourself from the woes
Of the controversy, it's like an addictive drug
Take one dose and it'll infect you like the bug
You can't get enough, you'll want more and more
Till your life gets torn apart, then you'll die alone

Controversy is not the way
It's just a quick shortcut and yeah, you do pay
In the end, that's why I'm pleading with you
To do the hard work and sacrifice that is needed
This the only way to succeed, there is no other
Short-term fame is for lames and suckers
It may take a long time but there's a silver lining
You just gotta grind hard until you shine like the sun
I know you may be tempted to slip back to insults
But don't you forget to consult your brain
For it's the only thing that is keeping yourself chained
To reality, don't get caught up in the fluff
For if you act tough, then you'll get your skull bashed
So take notes because class is in session
Learn the direction, wisen up and just say no
Follow these instructions and I swear you'll blow up in no time
