Sweet Dreams

I work hard and deserve what's coming to me
Growing up isn't easy
I'm always rocking it until the wheels fall off
It's hard to stay on top
I've put the fires out to burning bridges
I've swam in these deep waters before
I've held my glass up to good times
But I've also slept on bathroom floors

We all want something
Us average people with nothing
Kept so many secretes tucked under my bed
Until I listened to the voice inside my head
Told me to keep good friends and make the rest all disappear

I made new waves inside my brain
That changed weak ropes to steel
These dreams they seem real
And paint a perfect picture for how I feel
These dreams they feel right
And they're what keeps me from staying up at night

Was addicted to every bad choice
Constantly ignoring my inner voice
I could be stubborn and not hear nothing
But that's just what felt better to me
But it wasn't easy dealing with me
Dealing with my mistakes
I felt so low, I felt so fake
Didn't care what people thought
It really made no difference to me
