Growing Up
Yesterday has come and gone, today is just another moment passing
Life seems like it's in a rush, but I'm wishing that it was everlasting
Every hour seems like seconds now before my eyes it feels my life is flashing
A lot of things through the years but somehow I still find myself asking
What my life is 'gonna be?
What kind of things I'm 'gonna see?
Where will I be at Twenty-Three?
Don't really know it's up to me, and I
I'm trying to say
I'm scared of getting older
It's like a huge weight on my shoulders
Will I be a movie star? or have a lot of cars?
I guess I'll find out when I'm older
I'm scared of leaving my home
Don't really want to be my own
Right now I'm only at sixteen
The rest is all on me, don't want to mess it up
But it's all part of growing up
Yesterday has come and past, an hour goes by every time I'm blinking
When I think that I'm swimming fine, I come to realize that I am sinking
Everyone says you got lots of time, but take a look around you'll see it's shrinking
I know I'll turn out doing fine, but sometime's I still find myself thinking
How will I change from now to then?
Will I fall down, get up again?
Start out as boys, turn into men
I hope it turns out in the end, and I
I'm trying to say
I'm scared of getting older
It's like a huge weight on my shoulders
Will I be a movie star? or have a lot of cars?
I guess I'll find out when I'm older
I'm scared of leaving my home
Don't really want to be my own
Right now I'm only at sixteen
The rest is all on me, don't want to mess it up
But it's all part of growing up
(Yeow)
I'm scared of getting older
It's like a huge weight on my shoulders
Will I be a movie star? or have a lot of cars?
I guess I'll find out when I'm older
I'm scared of leaving my home
Don't really want to be my own
Right now I'm only at sixteen
The rest is all on me, don't want to mess it up
But it's all part of growing up
Yeah, it's all part of growing up
Life seems like it's in a rush, but I'm wishing that it was everlasting
