Midwest

Industrial revolution glories faded away
Once the future was so bright now it's just could and grey
Abandoned homes abandoned dreams cities that were left behind
Now our daily struggle is our struggle to survive

In the Midwest
We fight for everything
We fight for our families and we
Fight for our lives
This is the Rustbelt
This is our dirty home
No fairy-tailed streets of gold
But this is all that we've ever known

This is a place where life is dirty and mean
We sacrifice everything in support of a dying dream
We brake our backs work our fingers to the bone
And at the end of the week we have nothing left to show

In these fields and on these factory floors
The Midwest keeps this nation alive still we're facing closing doors
Everything we've earned they to take away
They're never going to take our pride we'll take that to our fucking graves
