Feed Me the Forest

Endless wandering
The twists and turns of these woods
A shelter from the sun gaze
Its beauty masked the falsehood
Wooded winds
Surrender a stream
A treasure trove
So nursing
A crown of leaves
To keep the memory
I could leave this place
The haunting calls beckoning
A solace offering
Expelling restless dispare
These woods are my asylum
A comforting timber cabin
Built from wooded grace
Offering my escape
Unburdened by the unseated wood
A network of trails my playground
Foliage cleared out
The ebb and flow unhindered
The natural order
My own master
I could leave this place
The haunting calls maddening
Stumps are all that remain
The forest left with nothing
