All We Were

Memories going through my head
Sipping on this Henny
Thought what we had was special
Guess that's gone too
Two years down to the drain
Would've been four years now
I know I had times when I messed up
You forgave me many times
You could've easily just left me hanging
But you stayed and dealt with my problems
I greatly appreciated you now I wish you nothing but the best for you

All we were was lovers, people said we were relationships goals
I thought it was too much because we were just like everybody else that had a Relationship we weren't perfect but we just grew apart from each other
And ain't seen eye to eye on things oh

Moved on from you but seen the pictures we took from prom
And started to reminisce about it ain't nothing that I can do anymore
It just wasn't meant to be

Tears stains on my pillow cause there's somebody out there that's loving you
And I'm here all alone, love ain't it for me
All I want is somebody to love me and not play me with my emotions
It's life and I gotta deal with that on my own because my love life is going down
Till I meet that right one
Don't know when will that be
Hopefully it'll be soon
I'm still waiting
