I Go

Mama said, "Don't be talk'n with the dead..."
But it's so hard when they're in your own head...
And she comes in the night...
With fog and the trees and the stars and their light...

And she floats on a breeze and she speaks to me with her eyes...
And you cannot lie with your eyes...
And she asks of me..."Would you rather be alone...?"
And my answers always "No..."

And she sings to me, she says "Follow me"
and to where I do not know...
And my friends say to stay home...
But I go... To her... into the unknown...

And when I'm with her...
I drink a wine, a wine that's known no vine...
And I'm quite sure there is no such thing as time...
And I know...
I'm finally home...
