The Light

It's hard to envision a dream when you can't get any sleep
And it cuts with precision when your fears don't let you weep
It scars all the tissue when the stars keep sailing out your reach
But as far that's an issue, the waves keep stretching for the beach

And it makes me sad but I can't be mad
At the life I have, it isn't all so bad
Though it makes me sigh and I don't know why
But I close my eyes and I can feel the light

Wheel of life goes up and down and the earth is somewhat round
And we're tethered to the ground, yet it's spinning all around
So what's lost may not be found, smile now and later frown
Hold your head up, wear a crown, when your threads become unwound
'Cause I could fly across the world and my mind could see
All the land across the globe and the salty seas
All I ever have to do is imagine these
It can take me through the skies across the galaxies
