Tommy's Duck-Blue Grass

Mornings I arise
My back pinched in an oval
But no one wants to bet on time
Still I think about
How I get by on the way it moves and
I could pedal like it wants me to but
I keep pissing all the paint on me while
I look up at everything and see that I am no one
My cadaver stains my perception
The stench was more than I could ever weigh
By the window it resides with no curtain
You watch me decompose into a puddle
I will never understand what you mean
Unless you tell me

No one ever knows what's really happening
When a boat drifts off to see
That a barn nearly eradicates simple
I will never understand what you mean unless you tell me
I was born into a nest of ignorance
Sucking on my sonic boom
I would turn a different color all the time
So no one would allow me
To smash apart my stomach
Itching, crying names
Can you come caress a disease
for me?
I will never understand what you mean unless you tell me
