My Tale

Here I stand today
At the crossroads of choices and destiny
Where my mind and the silly heart
Are no more in harmony
Everyone has expectations of me
Which I am sure to fail
But here I'd like to say
There's more to me and my tale

The mind keeps straying
To paths less travelled
And the heart keeps praying
That luck comes out unshackled
For neither it lets me cease
Nor push me to sail
And as I'd like to say
There's more to me and my tale

I wish I hadn't grown
To take stands and choose
But as it is with nature
It is me whether I win or I lose
Finally, I decide to give up
And let only fate hail
Now, though I end here
There's more to me and my tale
