Metal / Diary

I got my braces off last week
Because the metal was hurting my cheeks
Now, I can barely speak
So I might let you take the lead

Oh, and I know I loved you last week
But right now I don't know how to feel
And you can tell me I'm so hard to please
When every moment is a big deal

There's not a part of me I don't hate
Wish I was just a slice of empty space
And now my stomach muscles always ache
From when I screamed all day

I've got to be better than you
That's just what I was raised to do
But you'll be the one getting me through
And when you're done, I'll be threatening you (threatening, threatening you)

Oh, and I know I'll hate you next week
For being late when we were meant to meet
Oh, when you laughed at me in the street
Because you'd never see my teeth

Oh, it's hard work letting you go
From when I screamed all day (last week)
I wanted to fight, but I know you won't
(I'm so tired of-) You've got pride, but you know I don't
(From when I screamed all day)
And I'm so tired of letting you know
