Tale of Hexed Demise (All for Nothing)

Winding backstreets, steady little back beat
Living out my backseat, everything's distracting
Colour's start to bleed, flashing through the hazy screen
Seconds to eternity, interwoven tragedy
That's how the story goes, the hero trades his blows
Oh, what a life he could've known with a new perspective
Disregard the growing sense of resentment

Light refracting, catch entangled strands of green
Framing your face perfectly, heaven's bid at earthen breed
Uplifting to perceive, like a final movie scene
Soul-atoning majesty, so tightly in your grasp, it seems
Still yet you empathise, the hurt behind those eyes
But therein lies the reason I can stand to contend with
A list of lovers that tender feelings of resentment

A plight to set alight the rebels, fight to settle tides and set the means
By which to emphasize that, when it's right, we bet our lives and bet our dreams
As hopeless as it seems, we comb through acid dreams
Just filling up these manuscripts with endless tragedy
For only you to see, if only you could truly know

Method acting, pessimists exacting
Predicated hack schemes on unknowing attractees
Treat the agency of a willing maid-to-be
With absolute contempt and greed and never let their hatred cease
Those predatory vibes just leave us ostracized
He could've known another life with a new perspective
Yet left alone, the coward'll never know repentance

Pride enacting, while desperation's stacking
Misery advancing, yet pleasantries are lacking
A stringent absentee, vacant smiling effigy
An effort to evade a label bred from that complacency
Still yet they cling to lies, a tale of hexed demise
But therein lies the reason i can stand to contend with
Potential lovers that tender feelings of resentment

A plight to set alight the rebels, fight to settle tides and set the means
By which to emphasize that, when it's right, we bet our lives and bet our dreams
As hopeless as it seems, we comb through acid dreams
Just filling up these manuscripts with endless tragedy
For only you to see, if only you could truly know
