Unmelting

A frost covered window from the leaks in our mouth
Your breath changes tempo as the sun comes around
I leave to let you sleep
Step outside and I am free
Finally I can hear my heart beat slowing
And a cold bloody wind blows that's pushing me south
And I can't move an inch so I'm calling you down
It's time to figure out - all what it's about - our dreams

And at night I lie awake
And the light I feel it as it lands upon my face
And I want to change

My thoughts have become still I'm searching for sounds
Our dreams never seem real till our feet touch the ground
Will we always be asleep living in the dream?
Thinking we can breathe but never knowing
Till we're old and our kids grow and we shed all the doubt
That we kept in our heads so we would never be without
A way to calm you down when you're stuck inside your house
And the world becomes to loud for me

At night I lie awake
The light I feel it as it lands upon my face
And I want to change
