Loneliness

Loneliness has been my only friend
'Cos I can't connect with no one 'fore too long, is "So long!"
I don't know why it's so, or where it did begin
And I feel in my heart, in the dark, that my fate will be bad
Count my blessings like crows
Keep my chin up I suppose, from circling the drain
I never figured out how to grease the wheels
Get through office life, get myself swiped right, where I belong
It's got to the point where delights have all deserted me
The thrills are long-gone, looking forward to no one this Xmas time
Slapping my own face for all my mistakes -- I know it's wrong
All's I need's a break -- then I can reshape this road am on
