Sooo everybody's there
Don't mean it's the right place
Don't change who you are
And don't change your face

If somebody got you down
They're projecting insecurity
You know who you are
So give yourself security

Don't sweat what somebody said
It's all in your head
You're a gem
Don't lose sleep in your own bed

You heard what I said
So go shine bright
Stand out
Like the colour red

You wanna fit in
But you don't have to fit in
Why settle for just enough space
When you can make the space

You might get laughs and stares
But that's fine
When people don't understand something
They get scared

Why should you care
Don't waste your mind on people
Who got scraps to spare
Pasting what they copied

Be yourself
Haters are all talk
And they'll talk about you more when they see you walk the walk
Of confidence

You're sure of yourself
And Those who show respect say
It's a moment of hats off
Don't stop

Embrace the inner you
And show them who's boss
Everybody says that you're so ugly yeah
That you need to change your style
Before you get anywhere close to the finish line
But don't you listen to them
They're saying that cause they feel empty too
But if they only knew
What they're putting you through

So I say
Don't you listen to what they say
How you are that day
Cause you're better than them
And have been for a long time
So just go past them
And don't even look at them as they watch you from behind
You're like a shining star
That just needs those right words
To get you through the worst

People think they're always right
They don't even care sometimes of what they leave behind
A crying child that have a hard time sleeping
Because of what happened to them
Or a stranger with a good day ruined
Because of what was said to them
Some let their mouth go free all because
They thought they'd never see them again

Yeah people are blind
But you aren't
So go out there now and show them what you are made of
Cause one day they will ask you where you got that new way from
While you sit back relax
They slip through the cracks

Keep your head up
Show them that you're strong
Present yourself as worthy of respect
And with that there's nothing wrong

Believe in yourself and it'll get better soon
But you won't get anywhere without the right attitude

Put your hat on cause it's cold outside
A lot of people who don't care about the manner of their bedside
People can brush you off so fast and they don't care who
But you're worth so much more than their opinion of you

Let them be how they are
Cause you know how you are
If you know you're not nice then change that
If you're passive then save that
But that doesn't mean let people walk all up and down your body
Asking you to get a ride but you're not invited to the party

Embrace all your scars and your marks from the past
Cause you are who you are and you survived each blast
What happened in the past does not define you
And don't believe when someone says you're weak cuz they don't know you
