What lies behind the shadow
Of the lonesome moonlit drifter
What bears the fruits of life
Encased in desolate winter
When eagles fly to rule the sky
Do angels get their wings
When prey becomes the predator
Has nature changed a thing

Where have we come from
Where do we go
If this life is a prison
How will we know
Embracing the moment foreseen
Violent visions, delicate dreams
The remnants of the everlasting

Smoke and ash engulf the placid sky
With a veil of funeral black
Molten rock spawns fountains of hellish fire
With Satan on its back
Surging waves from tidal kings will rise
Shunning every mortal soul
Avenging wrath presented by her earthly highness
Rivers run red as church bells toll

Aching bone from bitter wind
Frozen hillsides dead within
Destination never near
Isolation crystal clear
I carry on the chosen path
In a lifetime of eternal wrath
Am I the one condemned to roam
In a place where life nor death call home
