Heavy Heads

he made it in a lab, palace of glass
a pitch shifter, dissociator
a magic act of flasks and cables
the heavy heads tilt back and take it

then, oh no a bad surprise, some hijacked high
by fate or choice, circuit bent body lost its shine
a fiber wire snakes up my spine
and i ride the wreck until it scratches, harsh and fine

aren't we all, aren't we all?
aren't we all that chained up?
aren't we all that chained up?
aren't we all that chained up dog?

til my good lonely days come back i'll take the bath
let Emmett's voice roll out like velvet on the track
painkiller sound fills up my mouth
and I spin that record til it scratches, harsh and loud
