Power and Glory
all you common day people, are you ready for a story?
it's about two men, one's power, one's glory.
power was a man, who wanted control,
over common day people, body and soul.
glory was a man, who on the other hand,
took it upon himself, to be known across the land.
power was a master, who liked to do things faster,
unlike glory, he tried to cause disaster.
glory stood for peace, and power stood for war!
now you common day people, have heard it all before.
power believed, in the crimes he committed,
he didn't give a damn, and that he admitted.
a syndicate connection, was leader of a mob,
extremely money hungry, a lady's heart throb.
he had a vicious style, if he didn't get his way,
you say the wrong thing, and you know you'll have to pay.
glory did things for the common welfare,
he tried to help people, he tried to be fair.
then one day, he came across the means,
to cure many people, of a common disease.
he did it for their good, as well as his own,
he made front page, and now he was known.
with his new fame, he found it hard to cope,
now you common day people, better find a new hope.
power got his way, by any kind of means,
you know it is worse than it really does seem.
he'd bribe the executives of major corporations,
he then planted spies, in all their locations.
bribery, extortion, it all goes hand in hand,
but then again power, is a ruthless kind of man.
if he didn't get his way, he didn't stop 'till he did,
murder and homicide, were just games to this kid.
he blew away his father, his mother, and his brother,
now you common day people, better run and take cover.
getting back to glory, he had so many problems,
too far gone, that no one could ever solve them.
'cause of his new fame, he started taking drugs,
he was carried off the streets, just like a common street thug.
he said he had a pill for occasional use,
it didn't matter much, he made the nightly news.
now he was happy and he got what he needed,
he went to rehab, and there he was treated.
90 days later, and he was let go,
he met his friend power, who was in full control.
after his release, glory was another man,
as you common day people, are gonna understand.
no more caring, for the common man,
no, not for glory, he had a different plan.
he went to join power, and all of his schemes,
and now, he's far richer, than in his wildest dreams.
he made front page, this time with a scandal,
embezelling funds, he couldn't manage or handle.
power soon found out and he was a little curious,
he put a hit on glory, because he was furious.
glory fell down, and looked at his friend,
he seemed to whispher thank you, as his life was at an end.
the cops picked up power at the corner of ninth,
they slapped on the cuffs as they read him his rights.
the didn't find the gun, but they found his knife,
the judge ordered prison, 20-life.
so that was the end, no more power, no more glory,
now don't have to worry, that's the end of this story!
