Crystal Darkness

I can feel them living in my skin
Or maybe it's all in my mind
There's a lady with a little dog
And I wish like hell that she was mine

But you have to remember that there are
Some things in this life that will just be fantasy

Stealing from his costume shed while he lays blazed out on the couch

But there are some things that we lose that we will never have again
Things that detach themselves from our hearts

Our innocence, our sense of youth, the things that we hold dear
These pretty things will all just fade away

I don't want to fall into crystal darkness
Like my folks did before me
But it's hard not to be tempted
by substance of so much similarity

I like to think that broken hearts don't lead to suicide
But that's not true, 'cos I have seen the proof
And it's a tragedy, oh such a fucking tragedy
when someone you love takes their own life
