Where the Stars Sleep - Live

Just over the hill in the next shadowed dale
A house made of tree bones stands still
Elwood sits steeping in the one patch of light
Till the black sky tucks the day into bed

He wakes in the night to a sky glittered bright
Through the folds of the earth cradled in
A song for the stars whose beauty unmarred
Tell stories of time with no end

Each morning break, Muddled curses he spake
His bright friends have gone left him alone
To find his storied stars he searched near and then far
Coming home to await their return

He walked to the well, his thirst now to quell
Looking into the dark stony deep
There he did spy one lost lonely star
It had slid down the well just to sleep

Elwood did roar for his love was restored
He climbed down to be close to the light
Eternal he felt; his skin split like a pelt
And he rose with his kin in the night
