The Sermon
The Lord saw that man, was not yet perfect
And all that he created, was not yet perfect
And for those hoods all over the world, things were not yet perfect
Something was missing
And so God, he blessed the world with a new creation
And it was called Hip Hop
And so it was, it started, in a land called the South Bronx
And God saw that it was good
And so it was, hip hop spread throughout the boroughs of New York
And God saw, that it was good
And so it was, hip hop spread throughout the entire land
To the North, to the South, and to the West
Where the denizens of South Central L.A., Watts, Compton, the LBC, Inglewood
And other parts of the land, received it
And the Lord, saw that it was good
There were beat bangas, street tales, and all kinds of other filth, florin filth
And it was called, the L.A. Gospel
Gospel
