My Sin

I need to say this
Without hiding behind the rhymes
Without diminishing my responsibilities
By making it poetic
People are hurt. But my sin is ever always only against you, my God

When will I get that?
I guess I'm comprehending just a little better
When I see all around me worse and worse
But you choose to single me out
And touch me
Losing a lot. But my sin is ever always only against you, my God

My God, my God. You know it only takes one wrong deed
It only takes a fraction of a little part of me to fall and destroy the whole
Still dying
Crucified. But my sin is ever always only against you, my God
