Come Along the Shadows

They are the ghosts of the mountains
The wandering souls of Mongolia
They are the princes of the forests
Who sadly vanish and fade from India

Calling for silence

Come along the shadows
Where the wild wind blows
Their green and amber eyes
Are meant to mesmerize you and me

They keep the spirits of the ancients
Worshipped by all Amazonian tribes
They dwell and stalk in tropical trees
Cryptic and shy, so different from human vibes

Cryptic to science

Come along the shadows
Where the wild wind blows
Along the shadows
Along the shades

And let me touch those curving claws
Of yellow ivory and grasp
The tail that like a monstrous asp
Coils round your heavy velvet paws!

At dusk and dawn they move without noise
On the edge of cliffs, they walk with poise
Their hectic life begins as a game
But they all must kill to eat in the end

Come along the shadows
With yellow ivory claws
Their green and amber eyes
Are meant to mesmerize

Along the shadows
Where the wild wind blows
Perfect heavy velvet paws
Come along the shadows
