The Hotel Song
You... anger me to tears I think you know a reason why
I wrote a song about it you can hear it one E.P behind
But I'm not here to vent for once, I'm here to make things right
You may not take me seriously, you already think I'm not so bright
But let me tell you a story, that gives me hope inside
Once upon a time, there was a hotel you could never find
Every day was sunny there and I felt so much delight
Me and my friends went to swim when the sun came through our blinds
We could splash, we would jump, we would thrive
One day in between it all you showed up all by yourself
I saw you in the reception as we were heading to the spa
My friends said you should join us "I promise we'll be kind"
I was nervous but I kept an open mind
I was nervous but I kept an open mind
When we climbed in the jets were on we splashed each-other like we were five
However, we didn't sting each-other's eyes to make each-other cry
You laughed but not because I was simply wearing scene attire
You could say I was happily surprised
You could say I was happily surprised
A sense of confusion lingered in my mind
When we dried off I asked you "Why are you being so nice, do I sense there's a change of heart inside?"
You told me you were free of those who made you act unkind "Please let me apologise for all of those dark times"
I forgive you, let's move on with our lives
But then I felt like I was falling, my surroundings all turned black
I was completely petrified til I opened both my eyes
I was in my bed at 7 am and I saw the morning light
Light, light, light
Light, light, light
You awoke too and now you see, you're not aware of what happened to me
My minds eye opened and I saw the person that you could've been
For you, you see you are not free of what you think others want you to be
Whoever you are, if you have a soul please let me know you aren't so cold
So cold, so cold, so cold
I wrote a song about it you can hear it one E.P behind
But I'm not here to vent for once, I'm here to make things right
You may not take me seriously, you already think I'm not so bright
