The Aliens Might Be Everywhere
Mother Mary
Was walking down the road
She didn't know
What she didn't know
Some guy
Came up to her
And asked if
She believed in UFOs
Mother Mary
Was taken aback
She had a creepy feeling
He was going to attack her
Nonetheless
She answered him, "Yes!"
Maybe this guy
Was an extraterrestrial
In disguise
And this was his way
Of putting her to the test
Hadn't a friend
Just told her
They had found a pyramid on Mars
In a satellite picture?
Certainly she could
Not afford to disbelieve
She was not so proud
To think that she had
Already conceived
Of everything everywhere
In the whole universe
How could she know
Of the heavens
When she knew
Hardly anything of earth?
The man who questioned her
Questioned her some more
He wanted to know what she thought
Aliens might come here for
She thought and thought
She tried to think of an answer
This possible alien in disguise
Might like to hear
But what did she know of aliens?
Aliens are aliens
Because they are alien
So she answered honest and clear
"I don't know," she said
"I don't know why aliens
Would visit our world
Maybe for vacation
Maybe for recreation
Maybe just to explore"
The man began to smile
And he nodded his head for a while
So Mother Mary decided
To really let go
Then into her mind
Came a solitary rhyme
Which left her lips
With the easiest flow
And this is what she said
This was the rhyme
That entered her head
This is what she said
To that man
She said
"I must declare
That the aliens
Might be everywhere
In every tree
In every bush
In your fingernails
Or in my tush
The aliens might be
In my cat
Or in your hat
Or in that or that
Or that or that
Or that
Yes, I must declare
That the aliens
Might be everywhere"
Then the man
Began to laugh
A happy laugh
A joyous laugh
He wished Mother Mary
A jolly day
And Mother Mary
Went on her merry way
But from that moment
She would find
That little rhyme
Always in her mind
"I must declare
That the aliens
Might be everywhere
In every tree
In every bush
In your fingernails
Or in my tush
The aliens might be
In my cat
Or in your hat
Or in that or that
Or that or that
Or that
Yes, I must declare
That the aliens
Might be everywhere"
