I'm spendin' another winter stuck here in cold Illinois
Snow drifts and cold winds are two things that I don't enjoy

But if I close my eyes I can almost feel the sand
Sun on my back Captain and Coke in my hand

Where it's whitecaps and nightcaps livin' my life by the sea
I bet life by the ocean is all that it's cracked up to be
They say the grass isn't greener you should stick to the plan
But what do they know grass doesn't grow in the sand

It took me over two hours just drivin' home in this storm
Damn heater don't work don't think I'll ever get warm

But when I close my eyes, the ocean ain't far out of reach
Flip-flop tans Coronas on down by the beach
