Chasing Trains

My head hits the pillow, I feel so tired
My brain decides to film a scene, I feel inspired
I'm at the station, hoping to board a train
The clouds are washed out grey and I can hear the rain
I run for that train, Hoping I will make
It through the door but I don't ever get my way

In my dreams I am always chasing
Chasing trains every night
I know that they're leaving
'Cause they leave every time
I'm left waiting at the station
Watching life go by
Chasing trains, chasing trains
It's always the same
Chasing trains, chasing trains
It's always the same

Strangers everywhere
I can't see their faces but they stop and stare
And there's me running, through the crowd
Everything is quiet but it feels so loud
If I got that train, don't know where it goes
When I stop to ask for help nobody ever knows

In my dreams I am always chasing
Chasing trains every night
I know that they're leaving
'Cause they leave every time
I'm left waiting at the station
Watching life go by
Chasing trains, chasing trains
It's always the same
Chasing trains, chasing trains
It's always the same

Think if I chase another train
It's possible I might just go insane
Maybe it means I'm stuck in my ways
Hoping that someday I can maybe find my pace
Maybe I'm always racing
To catch all these trains that I'm chasing
In hopes they'll take me to these places
Where life's so good I don't have to escape it

In my dreams I am always chasing
Chasing trains every night
I know that they're leaving
'Cause they leave every time
I'm left waiting at the station
Watching life go by
Chasing trains, chasing trains
It's always the same
Chasing trains, chasing trains
It's always the same

Chasing trains
