Things ain't really how they used to be
In this 21st century
Cut my teeth in a different way
In a much more simpler day
Didn't need to watch your back
Or what to eat and have a heart attack
Used a key to unlock your car
And really couldn't drive too far

Ain't no wonder why we're going down
Ain't no use moving outta town, no

Look around and tell me what you see
Ten thousand cameras looking after me
Why all the interest in me
Why don't they go and just leave me be
Forget about them days ago
Was who you were and not who you know
Now the times are a changin' fast
The only thing that matters is cash

Not sure here's where I wanna Be
Why I feel so raggedy

I know I'm not tellin' you
Fresh information like something new
Already know that we can't forget
That place we came from, no not just yet
You know that someday burn to the ground
And what God made is left to be found
And to the wonder who comes after me
They'll see the way it's supposed to be

Maybe then the truth be found
Surely not from the underground
