For Better or for Worse - Live '85

(That last song was a new one.)
(And this one is a real old one.)

I got out just in time
Although the salted wounds were mine
I cannot heal what's not inside
The remnants left behind
From what you would call something of a bad dream
I guess I mystify myself sometimes
For better or for worse

I live here in America
Where hearts don't break
They only stagnate
And where the sun don't ever shine
As if it does anywhere
I want to give in to my psychotic tendencies
It's better than a life of neurotic dependency
(Yeah, yeh)

If you were paid for half the time you spent
Just thinking of what to do
You'd live so clean and comfortably
You'd live inside a human zoo!

I don't respond too well to ultimatums
But I follow orders very well
I can type, file, even sell
I'll make coffee, tea
(Even clean your loo!?!)
I'll say yes, I'll say no...
Whatever you want me to!
For better or for worse

(Ominous . . .)

(I wonder what the next one is gonna be...)
