Weeping Willow
There once was a boy who loved a tree that stood outside his window
Every night and day he would say hello
But every time he looked, the tree was crying
It must have started crying long ago
The boy would always listen and try to understand
Why the tree was always so sad
For year he tried to listen for the answer
But the answer was never to be had
It was his Weeping Willow
Always there, always silent and still
His Weeping Willow
Finally he decide he would listen no more
And soon the little boy became a man
He moved away and tried to find his fortune
He traveled far and wide across the land
But sometimes he'd remember there was something he'd forgotten
Something had been left so far behind
One day it was time to come back home again
There was only one more thing he had to find
It was his Weeping Willow
Always there, always silent and still
His Weeping Willow
The boy sat down beside the tree as an old, old man
And he asked the tree again why it cried
But this time he finally heard an answer
And he finally could rest his weary mind
The tree seemed to say, "I've always loved you
But someday I knew you'd go away
All those years my tears were in sorrow
But now I'm just so glad you're here today
I'm your Weeping Willow
Always here, always thinking of you
Your Weeping Willow
I'm your Weeping Willow
Weeping Willow"
Every night and day he would say hello
But every time he looked, the tree was crying
It must have started crying long ago
The boy would always listen and try to understand
Why the tree was always so sad
For year he tried to listen for the answer
But the answer was never to be had
It was his Weeping Willow
Always there, always silent and still
His Weeping Willow
Finally he decide he would listen no more
And soon the little boy became a man
He moved away and tried to find his fortune
He traveled far and wide across the land
But sometimes he'd remember there was something he'd forgotten
Something had been left so far behind
One day it was time to come back home again
There was only one more thing he had to find
It was his Weeping Willow
Always there, always silent and still
His Weeping Willow
The boy sat down beside the tree as an old, old man
And he asked the tree again why it cried
But this time he finally heard an answer
And he finally could rest his weary mind
The tree seemed to say, "I've always loved you
But someday I knew you'd go away
All those years my tears were in sorrow
But now I'm just so glad you're here today
I'm your Weeping Willow
Always here, always thinking of you
Your Weeping Willow
I'm your Weeping Willow
Weeping Willow"
