Like a Butterfly

She buries
Herself alive in her room
Under pillows and blankets
Piled up to the light fixture in her room
She's proud of her soft plushy cocoon
And with that
Kind of pressure
Smothering her
She says

I won't make out
She's buried herself alive
In her room and as she
Thinks about the fickle nature of feelings
Breathing slows
If she stays here she will find the unknown
And although
She love surprises
This should remain a mystery anyway

She buried herself behind her closed door
I hear her struggling
To dig her way to the side of the pile
She needs to zig-zag roll and wriggle to make it back
And with that
The door slams
Into the ground
Breaks in half
She flutters out
