Dream

Last night I had a dream, my Grandpa talked to me
I was on York Court, he took a walk with me
Specifically, he told me who to take to top with me
He was loving Heaven, told him "Save a spot for me"
After that officially, I know who rock with me
And my drive is unmatched, it ain't no stopping me
We was laughing at the ones, that put the drop to me
"It's their loss" he told me that was his philosophy
Honestly, I don't see nobody on my caliber
I ain't being cocky, I just do not see a challenger
I won't entertain it neither, that ain't on my calendar
I could still wash 'em though, I don't need a lavender
Something changed about me, when I kissed my Grandpas lifeless corpse
I became darker, when they took him off that life support
I already told you all, now I think the line is more
For the past, because I changed again and now i'm striving for
Better days and people, and i'm starting to see it slowly
Better people in my life, and they would never hold me
Only push me forward never back, and they had told me
That they see me going far, and they would never fold me
Only one person from my past, willing to grow
Ten years strong, always us and nothing new though
Reaching for the top, he told me that "I'm reaching to low"
I ain't have to say a name, 'cause y'all already knew though
I been having dreams, buying folks a crib in Malibu
They believed in me, the first that I had showed my talent to
We was making moves, Dixie Belle to Texas Avenue
Not a issue anywhere we go, and we was valid to
First I put my eyes in, then I put my heart in this
I got better over time, but I had came up hard in this
I got people telling me, "Boy you going far in this"
I remember days, when you used to take them cars and dip
I remember days, when your name was always in the mix
Always beefing, fighting, and (Shh) I was into this
"I ain't saying to much, but really boy you lived for this"
Yeah but don't remind me dog, 'cause I had put a end to this
Everybody grows up, 'parently not some of you"
I don't see nobody as a friend, either one of you
Where were you when I was down?, I had seen none of you
Talking 'bout a heir baby, I won't put a son in you
I won't trust you, to throw a rock into the ocean
Type to try to sink me to the bottom, if i'm floating
Type to try to put me down, if I start the gloating
Type to make me feel bad, if I start the roasting
Feel like they was slighting me, let 'em keep the W
If you going down and they follow, then they dumb as you
Baby come enlighten me, let me get up under you
They could try and copy Jaey, but they could never come as you
