An immigrant, who believed in a dream called America

Survived Vietnam, with all its contradictions
He never abandoned his brotherhood
He loved his country, not always it leaders
An American hero, that's how he lived his life

History has its lessons in store for men
Brings us the moments that define a life
Where leaders face, the fundamental questions
And true character, you know it comes to light

That fateful day, who could have imagined
There could be such hate, such evil in this world
But he had seen, he'd seen it all before
He stared it down, he stood his ground
