Waiting for Dawn
Guns firing on the ridge down
Off to a quiet town
When bell was up, smoke to the brick down
And the blood so dawn
Me and friend we hit it up
Whether it's set up, the shells dug up the sand
As they let up
We shot 2 and I held them down
You're chasing my ...we hear to say
What I mean to say, is they're lost that way
And they out there now
In the firing dawn
And I hear them, and I think I see
Them coming
We're waiting, they're hiding
They're running
I will stay here until dawn, yeah, yeah
The dawn
Later round the drinks, it was over
But we saw the drover
In the middle, they were ducking for cover
So we laid back down
They must have felt the coming of shadow
And they were all a glow
And they are burrow, and in the moonlight
We shot them down
And I hear them, and I think I see
Them coming
We're waiting, they're hiding
They're running
I will stay here until the dawn, yeah, yeah
The dawn
Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting
Waiting for dawn, dawn, dawn, dawn.
Off to a quiet town
When bell was up, smoke to the brick down
And the blood so dawn
Me and friend we hit it up
Whether it's set up, the shells dug up the sand
As they let up
We shot 2 and I held them down
You're chasing my ...we hear to say
What I mean to say, is they're lost that way
And they out there now
In the firing dawn
And I hear them, and I think I see
Them coming
We're waiting, they're hiding
They're running
I will stay here until dawn, yeah, yeah
The dawn
Later round the drinks, it was over
But we saw the drover
In the middle, they were ducking for cover
So we laid back down
They must have felt the coming of shadow
And they were all a glow
And they are burrow, and in the moonlight
We shot them down
And I hear them, and I think I see
Them coming
We're waiting, they're hiding
They're running
I will stay here until the dawn, yeah, yeah
The dawn
Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting
Waiting for dawn, dawn, dawn, dawn.
