Sonderland

Far away, as far as the eye can see
Is a place that I don't understand
A place we know as Sonderland
I call it home, call it hell
I'm sure if it could it would call me names as well
Like a "walking detriment"
On the world's worst carousel

These strange times that we live in
Will slowly eat you alive if you don't fit in

Welcome to my dark despair
Everyone here is a nightmare
As they all keep talking in their sleep
I am wondering
If it surely gets better than this?

Why do good things come to all those terrible people?
And would God be the next big thing if you heard her on the radio?
Where did all the good ones go?
They finish last or they die young
Then it's onto the next post, the story of a generation

So dead set on novelty
But some honesty now and then would be quite nice

Welcome to my dark despair
Everyone here is a nightmare
As they all keep talking in their sleep
I am wondering
If it surely gets better than this?

No, I don't want wanna sit and talk about politics
Or social sciences in contradiction
Not when I'm staring down the edge of the precipice
With grim ambition

These strange times that we live in
Will slowly eat you alive if you don't fit in

Welcome to my dark despair
Everyone here is a nightmare
As they all keep talking in their sleep
I am wondering
If it surely gets better than this?

Surely gets better than this
It surely gets better than this
It surely gets better than this
