Interlude
The graciousness of God is immeasurable
Matthew 22:1-14 God is presented as a loving King extending
A gracious offer of salvation
Communicated in terms of celebrating and communing with His Son
His original audience likely, Israel rejected the invitation
And gave sad excuses of calm and busyness as to why they failed to attend
As an extreme show of His grace, this King, sent his servants
Prophets and apostles to proclaim this loving invitation
Still, the invitees rejected with hostility and murder
The King, in his anger, sought judgment upon these evildoers
And sent out an open invitation of whosoever will come
In His graciousness, He provided the appropriate clothing
The righteousness of Christ and to all who are willing to accept this free gift
God is still gracious
Daily extending his generous gift of salvation to all who are willing to just come
But much the same today, the world is hostile to this message
Too busy building their own external kingdoms and failing to realize that the
King and his Son is standing at the door of their heart, knocking
Willing to make them Dapper with the imputed righteousness of Christ
Can you dig it
